We are delighted to be able to offer our year 2 children an out of school visit to the Emma Bridgewater factory. This is a fabulous opportunity that will provide the children with activities and opportunities to support our topic – “Hanley to Hackney”. As part of our topic, the children have been learning about the history of Stoke-on-Trent and what made it so important and popular. During learning, we have looked at the importance of the pottery industry and how this impacted and formed Stoke-on-Trent as we know it today. During our visit to the Emma Bridgewater factory, children will have the opportunity to tour the factory and hand-paint their very own piece of pottery to bring home.
The visit will take place on Tuesday, 13th November. We request that the children arrive at school promptly at 8.30am dressed in full school uniform and wearing sensible shoes. Children should be collected at the usual time (3.10pm) from the KS1 playground. Children will all be provided with a sandwich lunch.
We request a donation of £14.10 for each child, which will go some way towards the cost of transport by coach, insurance, and entry to the factory, including a full tour and a pottery painting workshop. Please make your payment via ParentPay.
